Indian River Home Care (IRHC) is overjoyed to announce that Karen Lampert-Riley, RN, vice president and director of patient relations, is the first and only person in Indian River County to be selected for an award from the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF). Lampert- Riley received the Terri Santangelo Outstanding Leader Award, the most notable accolade of three that were presented during the 2018 Excellence in Home Care Awards ceremony on July 31, at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld in Orlando.
According to HCAF, this honor is bestowed upon an exceptionally sedulous professional in memoriam of the venerable trade association’s former president. Among several other impassioned qualifications, the awardee possesses, “exemplary team spirit, excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, innovative spirit and dedication to patient and staff satisfaction.” “Karen not only encompasses all of these attributes, but she is continuously willing to attend doctor’s appointments, make visits with other clinicians, place phone calls on behalf of staff members and spend countless hours advocating for clients and their families — everything and more you would want in a leader,” aid Margot Kornicks, RN, MBA, founder and president of IRHC.
