About Us

Heartbeat of the Treasure Coast was launched in 2006.

My motivation in publishing Heartbeat comes from my personal commitment to help my loving mother and father mature with dignity. While trying to find answers to help my mother in her early years of dementia, which eventually lead to Alzheimer’s Disease, I found many other people trying to find the same answers. My family and I spent months researching dementia, Alzheimer’s, stroke, assisted living facilities, physicians, medications, food supplements, vitamins, skilled nursing facilities, in-home care agencies, adult daycare, therapists, surgeons, neurologists, and the list goes on, in efforts to help my mother ward-off the ugly beginning stages of Alzheimer’s Disease.

The process of finding the right person, the right place or the right technique for your health concerns is totally up to the individual or their family. But if there is something that Heartbeat can do to assist you in not having to fight through that maze, then I have done what I intended.

Remember, you are not alone. There are others who can help, and it is okay to ask for help.
